Cindy Cao

Cindy is a high school student in St. Robert High
School and versatile and experienced public
speaker with strong skills in impromptu speaking
and interpretive reading. She has won awards at a variety of competitions including:

Provincial Finalist for 2025 DECA Ontario
involving impromptu speaking

National Runner-Up at the Canadian National
Leadership Conference in Marketing

Experience in impromptu speaking in different
events such as WIDPSC, MUN, and debate.

Scarlett Lu

Scarlett Lu

Scarlett is a 11th grade (2025-2026) student at
Havergal College who is a highly skilled and
practiced public speaker and debater. She
participates in a wide array of competitive speech
activities and has demonstrated her proficiency
through numerous accomplishments:

Vicky Zhao

Vicky is a dynamic public speaker with experience in all categories, and has won many awards including:

First place at regionals for PROSE

Third place at Alberta Provincials,

Second in a French national comp.

National rank 4th at the highest level in
The National French Contest (USA).

Ranked Top 4 (Diamond Challenge)
nationally in an entrepreneurship competition.



Emily Zong

Emily Zong

Ziyi Zong or Emily Zong is a high school student
currently studying at Havergal College. She have
had a lot of experience with impromptu speaking,
not just in WIDPSC, but also in other
extracurriculars such as MUN and debate. She
have won at many Ivy league competitions
involving impromptu speaking as well as
recognition for top 10 Jr Speaker at Nationals for
debate in China.

Shawn Cui

Shawn Cui

Shawn is a British Parliamentary and Public Forum debater and an experienced public speaker. Accomplishments include:

1st place at the Queen's Commonwealth French Public Speaking Competition and at the NSDA Asia Junior Public Speaking Competiton

Ranked top 15% in 2025 Stanford Invitational PF Tournament.

Bronze award in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition in 2023, with over 35,000 participants.

Shawn also has extensive experience
in teaching debate and public speaking. He has been teaching debate and public speaking classes from March 2023, and has taught more than 100 lessons.

Selene Chen

Selene Chen

Selene is an accomplished public speaker with a strong passion for after dinner speaking. She brings a wealth of experience from various international competitions and tournaments and has been recognized for her engaging and humorous delivery. Some of her achievements include the Best Speaker at the Asian Pacific Schools Debate Championships, Winner of the Best Representative of China in the MUN,
Extensive Involvement in WIDPSC with notable success in after dinner speaking, and more.



Angela Li

Angela Li

Angela is a highly skilled and experienced public speaker and debater, having actively participated for 6 years across a wide spectrum of competitive debate formats, including Public Forum, British Parliamentary, Asian Parliamentary, and World Schools. Her proficiency leads to her numerous accomplishments and being a co-founder on her school’s debate team. She also spent two years judging debates to sharpen her understanding of effective argumentation and critical thinking. She also greatly enjoys theater and has acted in two musicals so far. Among her best past achievements are: 2022 NHSDLC TOC (PF) National MS Runners-Up, 2022 UDM AP Summer Tournament Hosted by Tufts Debate Society Runners-Up, 2023 July FLTRP BP Open Finalists + 14th outstanding speaker, 2025 ASO WSDC U17 Quarterfinalists/China 9th Best Speaker, 2025 Spring TKEthics Global Ethics Olympiad Runners-Up, and more

Philina Chen

Philina Chen

Philina is an 11th-grade student from Valley Christian High School who is passionate about writing and economics/business. She volunteers as a book reviewer for her local library, and also teaches entrepreneurship to middle schoolers through RISE, a student-led nonprofit. Philina has competed in a number of business and essay competitions, achieving numerous honours.  

Some of her achievements include: 2 times California DECA State Finalist, John Locke Global Essay Competition Shortlist (Economics), Valley Christian DECA Mentor and Officer, and more.

Jesse Yu

Jesse Yu

Jesse is a sophomore at Millburn High School with a love for words, whether that’s writing them, editing them, or delivering them out loud. He’s a Scholastic Writing Gold Key recipient (At-Large East) and has extensive experience editing, currently serving as a Senior Editor at both Polyphony Lit and his school’s newspaper. Outside of writing, Jesse enjoys exploring competition math, science research, swimming, playing the saxophone, and competing in debate.
